  • Notes
    • In the 1709/10 Kintyre Rental list, James is listed as the conjunct Chamberlain of Kintyre and received a tack to Kilmory and the miln of "Achalestrin."

He was the son of the Rev. John Cunnison, who died ca. 1698 and is buried in Killean churchyard. This family was of Highland origin from Perthshire.

James married Marie Milliken on 6 March 1709 [Campbeltown OPRs 507/11/417 and 507/10/49]. They were the parents of two children, Elizabeth b. 17 August 1711, and Sarah, b. 21 August 1715.

See KF, p. 93, for more information on this family.

      See SC54/17/2/35/9 for his confession.
