  • Notes
    • In 1692, Andrew and James McColme were fencible men in Campeltown; there were two Neill McCallims and a Gilbert McCallm there as well.

In 1694, Malcolm and Iver McCallum occupied two hearths in Killblaan, Donald McCallum occupied a hearth in Cataig, Duncan McCallum occupied a hearth in Glenmucklach, Donald in Knockstapillmore, Andrew and Neill in Campbeltown, and John at Stukadell & Garvalt.

It's possible that this could be the same Archibald McCallum in Auchenbrek, but not likely owning to the spelling of the surname and the fact that he already appeared in an earlier trial for poaching fish.

One of the few examples of the defendant claiming poverty.
