  • Notes
    • In 1685, James Morison was a rebel living at Crossibeg.

In 1692, John and William Morison in Campbeltown, John Moorisone elder and sons James and John in Barraskimell, James Morissone in Crossibeg, Andrew and Thomas Morisson in Machrimoir, and Robert Morrisson in Garrochie were all Lowland fencible men.

There are no Morisons included in the 1694 Hearth Tax list.

While multiple men with this name lived in Campbeltown during this period, only one was actively having children.

William Morison married Margaret Love on 3 November 1703 in Campbeltown. They baptized the following children there:

      Jenat - 1704
      John - 1707
      Marion - 1709

Unless further evidence comes to light, the available evidence suggests that this individual likely confessed to burying a child in linen in 1710.
